Samsung Sweetens Galaxy XR UK Launch With Free £665 Explorer Pack — 12 Months of Google AI Pro, YouTube Premium, and More

Samsung is cushioning the £1,699 Galaxy XR price tag in the UK with a free Explorer Pack worth over £665, bundling a year of premium software subscriptions with every headset purchase. The offer is available for a limited time as part of the UK launch.

What's in the Explorer Pack

• Google AI Pro: 12 months (normally £19.99/month)
• YouTube Premium: 12 months
• Google Play Pass: 12 months
• Calm Premium: 12 months
• Adobe Project Pulsar: Creative tools for spatial content
• NFL PRO ERA: Immersive football experience
• ASTEROID: Immersive space experience

Additional Launch Promotions

• Discounted Galaxy XR Travel Case and Controllers (£249 each) through September 30
• Bundle discount on the headset itself when purchased with any Galaxy smartphone (through August 4)
• Bundle discount on any Galaxy Watch or Buds when bought with the Galaxy XR (through September 30)

What This Means for Buyers

The Explorer Pack effectively reduces the first-year cost of ownership by roughly 40% when you factor in the bundled subscriptions. Combined with the smartphone discount, UK buyers could get the Galaxy XR for around £1,529 with £665 in software — making it a meaningfully better value than the US launch offer. Compare it to the Apple Vision Pro at $2,000 refurbished or the Meta Quest 3 in our AR/VR headset guide.
